Semi-Finals Game 3: Toshiba BT - Tochigi Brex 69-60

Toshiba Brave Thunders advanced into NBL Finals. They held off Tochigi Brex in the decisive third game of the semifinal series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Tochigi Brex won second period 21-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Senegalese swingman Mamadou Diouf (197-77, college: Delaware) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Toshiba Thunders' coach Takuya Kita used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Andrew Naymick (209-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks and the other American import guard Tommy Brenton (196-89, college: Stony Brook) added 6 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively.
