Finals Game 1: Faros - Promitheas 88-78

Faros fired past Promitheas to sweep A2 Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Faros. Promitheas managed to win second period 28-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Faros outrebounded Promitheas 45-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Promitheas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Nikos Liakopoulos (188-83) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 assists. Power forward Christos Petrodimopoulos (206-80) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Serbian swingman Vladimir Petrovic-Stergiou (199-77, agency: BeoExcell) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Angelos Tsamis (192-81) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Promitheas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Promitheas' coach Makis Giatras rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
