Mazatlan beat Obregon away from home and completed the sweep of the quarterfinal series. Lobos UAD Mazatlan made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon outrebounded Lobos UAD Mazatlan 43-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Kourtney Roberson (206-90, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Landon Atterberry (198-93, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201, college: Bethel, KS) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
