Very important is a road loss of third ranked Caneros LR (3-3) against fourth ranked Reales LV (4-3) on Thursday night. Visiting Caneros LR was defeated by Reales LV in La Vega 98-87. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Reales LV players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Reales LV's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) responded with 25 points and swingman Andy Williams (195-80, agency: Court Side) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Caneros LR players scored in double figures. Reales LV moved-up to second place, which they share with Leones SD. Caneros LR at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Reales LV will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Caneros LR will play at home against Indios SFM (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
