Regular Season Round 20: Stirling S. - East Perth E. 112-100

Date: July 23, 2016
Rather predictable result in Perth where seventh ranked Stirling S. (15-10) defeated 10th ranked Eagles (9-16) 112-100 on Saturday. Stirling S. forced 21 Eagles turnovers. Strangely Eagles outrebounded Stirling S. 58-39 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Eagles were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Cody Ellis (203-90, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and American forward Kyle Lindbergh (201-91, college: Dordt) who added 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Lindbergh is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Rhys Vague (204-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Nikola Donlagic (195-90) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Stirling S. and five Eagles players scored in double figures. Stirling S. maintains seventh position in League with 15-10 record. Loser Eagles dropped to the ninth place with 16 games lost. Stirling S. will face Magic (#14) in Mandurah in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eagles will play at home against Flames (#3) and hope to win that game.
