Important game to mention about took place in Sorocabana. Ninth ranked Liga Sorocaba (3-9) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 10th ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (2-10) 75-72 on Thursday evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru trailed by 15 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 30-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 72-75 at the end of the game. Liga Sorocaba made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Paschoalotto/Bauru turnovers. Strangely Paschoalotto/Bauru outrebounded Liga Sorocaba 39-21 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Patrick Vieira (186-93) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 steals and guard Gabriel De Oliveira (202-93) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) with 26 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Shilton Santos (198-82) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Liga Sorocaba moved-up to seventh place, which they share with America. Paschoalotto/Bauru lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Liga Sorocaba will face higher ranked Vivo/Franca (#3) in Sao Paulo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play at home against Paulistano (#4) and hope to win that game.
