Regular Season Round 1: Syntex Ksiezak - Start Lublin II 109-42

Syntex Ksiezak used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Lublin 109-42 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Syntex Ksiezak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Start Lublin II to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Syntex Ksiezak dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Start Lublin II's 30. Syntex Ksiezak forced 29 Start Lublin II turnovers and outrebounded them 33-14 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Syntex Ksiezak looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Start Lublin II's players. It was a very good performance for forward Maciej Cukierda (195-91) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Hubert Makuch (180-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 6 steals (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Syntex Ksiezak players scored in double figures. Miroslaw Unilowski (193-98) answered with 11 points and forward Wojciech Matysek (198-99) added 8 points and 4 assists in the effort for Start Lublin II. Start Lublin II's coach Andrzej Dubielis gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Syntex Ksiezak will face Zubry (#14) in Bialystok in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Start Lublin II will play at home against AZS PS Kielce (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
