Paulista top team - Mogi (15-3) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Rio Claro (9-9) in Mogi das Cruzes 97-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rio Claro. The game without a history. Mogi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rio Claro to just 6 points in third quarter. Mogi looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Rio Claro's players. Fabricio Russo (196-85) notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Tyrone Curnell (203-88, college: Valdosta St.) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Mogi players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by the former international Andre Stefanelli (196-84) did not help to save the game for Rio Claro. The former international Andre Pereira (206-79) added 6 points and 8 rebounds.
