Regular Season Round 2: Bad Aibling - Herner 59-90

Another interesting game for Herner TC (2-0) which played in Bad Aibling against Fireballs (1-1). Herner TC crushed hosts 90-59. The game was mostly controlled by Herner TC. Fireballs was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Herner TC dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fireballs' 38. Herner TC forced 23 Fireballs turnovers. American forward Kristi Bellock (185-90, college: Texas A&M) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Haiden Palmer (173-91, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Herner TC players scored in double figures. Herner TC's coach Marek Piotrowski felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Lindsay Sherbert (184, college: Gonzaga) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and French guard Cyrielle Recoura (172-91) scored 13 points. Herner TC will play against TH Wohnbau Angels (#11) in Noerdlingen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fireballs will play on the road against TV Saarlouis Royals (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
