Regular Season Round 4: Kyoto Hannar. - Osaka Evessa 58-78

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (2-2) against fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (2-2) on Sunday night. Host Kyoto Hannar. was crushed by Osaka Evessa in Kyoto 78-58. The game was mostly controlled by Osaka Evessa. Kyoto Hannar. managed to win second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kyoto Hannar. to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Kyoto Hannar. 44-25 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) who added 17 points during the contest. Five Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Yusuke Okada (185-84) scored 15 points (made all of his seven free throws). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka Evessa moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Kyoto Hannar. Osaka Evessa will meet league's leader Diamond Dolphins in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kyoto Hannar. will play against Shiga L-Stars and hope to secure a win.
