Regular Season Round 4: Cyberdyne IR - Iwate Big Bulls 79-71

Rather predictable result in Tsukuba where third ranked Cyberdyne IR (3-1) defeated bottom-ranked Iwate Big Bulls (0-4) 79-71 on Sunday. Iwate Big Bulls trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 30-26 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-79 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Iwate Big Bulls 42-25 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds and the other American import forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Koji Nagata (180-81) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Iwate Big Bulls still closes the standings with four games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face Yamagata (#4) on the road in the next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Aomori Watts and hope to get finally their first victory.
