The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 38-18. But Gimle BBK won second period 29-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Gimle BBK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Centrum and four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Centrum is looking forward to face Nidaros Jets (#4) in Tromdheim in the next round. Gimle BBK will play at home against Asker Aliens and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
