Regular Season Round 2: Puente Alto - AB Ancud 83-80

A very close game took place in Puente Alto between Puente Alto and AB Ancud. Puente Alto (1-1) got a very close home victory over AB Ancud (0-2). Puente Alto managed to escape with a 3-point win 83-80 on Sunday evening. American forward Jovany Austin (201, college: W.Georgia) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Marcus Hammonds (196-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) supported him with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds by American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for AB Ancud. Point guard Sebastian Figueroa (175-88) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the guests. Puente Alto will meet at home Universidad de Concepcion (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. AB Ancud will have a break next round.
