Regular Season Round 3: ETB Wohnbau - Kirchheim 79-81

A very interesting game took place in Essen. It ended with only two-point home defeat of ETB Wohnbau (0-3) to Kirchheim Knights (3-0) 81-79 on Monday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Tim Koch (196-89) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) came up with 28 points and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Ashton Moore (183-93, college: Citadel) added 16 points, 7 assists and 5 steals respectively for ETB Wohnbau in the defeat. Kirchheim Knights' next round opponent will be Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#7) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. ETB Wohnbau will play against Crailsheim Merlins (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
