SV Halle Lions used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Rotenburg 90-75. The game was mostly controlled by SV Halle Lions. Rotenburg/Scheessel was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SV Halle Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rotenburg/Scheessel's 32 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Czech swingman Petra Zaplatova (175-91) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Pia Mankertz (170-90) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Rotenburg/Scheessel. Five SV Halle Lions and four Rotenburg/Scheessel players scored in double figures. SV Halle Lions' next round opponent will be Hannover (#4) on the road. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play against Herner TC and hope to win that game.
