MLP Academics Heidelberg smashed Chemnitz at home 80-54. MLP Academics Heidelberg forced 21 Chemnitz turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Niklas Wuerzner (191-94) who scored 23 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American guard Vance Hall (193-91, college: Bellarmine) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Joe Lawson (201-92, college: Indianapolis, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 18 points and the other American import guard Chris Carter (196-92, college: Florida Tech, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chemnitz will play next round against Uni Baskets trying to get back on the winning streak. MLP Academics Heidelberg will try to continue on its current victory against Gladiators in Trier.
