Regular Season Round 2: Castello - FC Barcelona II 76-64

Castello used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Barcelona 76-64 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Castello. Barca II managed to win third quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was center Maodo Nguirane (210-93) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Borja Arevalo (195-91) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Arevalo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Jordi Trias (208-80) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian Nedim Djedovic (205-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello will meet Ourense (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barca II will play against Gipuzkoa (#4) and hope to win that game.
