Regular Season Round 4: Lourdes - GET Vosges 88-74

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (2-2) won against at home higher ranked GET Vosges (2-2) 88-74 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-74. Lourdes-Tarbes outrebounded GET Vosges 38-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Ludovic Vaty (206-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Florian Lesca (198-89) who added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahima Sidibe (180-95) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Five Lourdes-Tarbes and four GET Vosges players scored in double figures. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated GET Vosges. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet UB Chartres (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GET Vosges will play against the league's leader Quimper UJAP (#1) and hope to secure a win.
