The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Koroivos (0-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Olympiacos (1-0) 88-66. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American-Belgian guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Erick Green (190-91, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side American point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Koroivos players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Panathinaikos.
