Regular Season Round 3: AZS PS Gliwice - MKS DG 2 81-49

AZS PS Gliwice used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Dabrowa Gornicza 81-49 on Saturday night. The game without a history. AZS PS Gliwice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MKS DG 2 to just 7 points in first quarter. AZS PS Gliwice dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 28. AZS PS Gliwice forced 21 MKS DG 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 44-23 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. AZS PS Gliwice looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by MKS DG 2's players. The best player for the winners was guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) who scored 26 points and 4 assists. Power forward Maciej Piszczek (203-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Adam Skiba (182-99) who recorded 10 points and Lukasz Lewinski (187-99) added 11 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
