Regular Season Round 3: Wisla Krakow - Polonia Bytom 70-83

Very expected game when Wisla Krakow (0-3) was defeated at home by Polonia Bytom (3-0) 83-70 on Saturday. Polonia Bytom dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 32. Polonia Bytom had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Emil Podkowinski (194-88) who scored 22 points. Forward Tomasz Gembus (197-87) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jakub Zaczek (204-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and forward Jakub Wojciechowski (197-93) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Polonia Bytom and four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Polonia Bytom will face Przemysl (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Wisla Krakow will play against AZS KU PO (#3) in Opole and hopes to get finally their first victory.
