Regular Season Round 3: Iberostar Tener. - Sevilla 96-74

Not a big story in a game in Tenerife where Sevilla (1-2) was rolled over by CB Canarias (3-0) 96-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-74. CB Canarias made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. CB Canarias looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Sevilla's players. It was a great evening for American point guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Forward Javier Beiran (200-87) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four CB Canarias players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovenia Bostjan Nachbar (206-80) with 26 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CB Canarias will face Joventut (#16) in Badalona in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sevilla will play at home against CAI Zaragoza (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
