Indias topped Atenienses on the road to advance into the semifinal stage. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 23-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-4. Indias looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 23 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks for the winners. The other American import forward Amanda Thompson (178-87, college: Oklahoma) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Indias players scored in double figures. American Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) produced 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and international center Sandra Garcia (190-90, college: Wake Forest) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Atenienses' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
