Regular Season Round 3: Helsinki Seagulls - Korihait 85-71

The game between Top Four teams took place in Helsinki. Host Helsinki Seagulls (3-0) defeated UU-Korihait (1-2) 85-71. The game was mostly controlled by Helsinki Seagulls. UU-Korihait managed to win third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded UU-Korihait 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Helsinki Seagulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American center Devonte Upson (206-93, college: SE Louisiana) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international Carl Lindbom (206-91) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Reginald Bratton (193-86, college: Lenoir-Rhyne, agency: Blacktop Management) with 11 points and Mikael Herbert (205-93, college: Tulane) scored 10 points. Four UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Helsinki Seagulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UU-Korihait will play at home against KTP-Basket (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
