Regular Season Round 3: Tartu Ulikool - Kalev/Cramo 77-76

Important game to mention about took place in Tartu. TU/Rock (2-0) saved a 1-point derby victory at home edging Kalev/Cramo (0-2) 77-76 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Kalev/Cramo was ahead by 12 points after three quarters before a 23-10 charge of TU/Rock, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Mandell Thomas (188-93, college: Fordham) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Lithuania center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Mark Tollefsen (206-92, college: Arizona) with 17 points and the other American import guard Demonte Harper (193-89, college: Morehead St.) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Five TU/Rock and four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Kalev/Cramo's coach Alar Varrak tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. TU/Rock will play against Valga (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round.
