Regular Season Round 2: Tindastoll - Thor AK 94-82

Tindastoll used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Akureyri 94-82. The game was mostly controlled by Tindastoll. Thor AK was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tindastoll won last quarter 28-17. Senegalese-Spanish power forward Mamadou Samb (210-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Petur Birgisson (185-96) contributed with 20 points, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Tindastoll and five Thor AK players scored in double figures. Tindastoll's next round opponent will be IR (#7) in Reykjavik. Thor AK will play at home against Skallagrimur (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
