Not a big story in a game when Gorica (0-2) was outscored by Cibona (2-1) in Zagreb 90-65. The game without a history. Cibona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Gorica's 28. Forward Nik Slavica (201-97) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Elijah Johnson (192-90, college: Kansas) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Cibona players scored in double figures. Cibona's coach Damir Mulaomerovic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward David Usic (206-93, college: Florida Tech) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Masan Vrbica (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Cibona will again play against Gorica (#11) in Velika Gorica in the next round where they are favorite. Gorica will have a break next round.
