Regular Season Round 1: Nantes - Bourg 82-72

Nantes used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Bourg 82-72 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Nantes. JL Bourg was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes forced 19 JL Bourg turnovers. American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92, agency: Comsport) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. JL Bourg's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nantes will face Provence Basket (#6) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. JL Bourg will play at home against STB Le Havre (#3) and hope to win that game.
