Regular Season Round 1: St Chamond - Provence Basket 66-77

Saint Chamond was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Fos-sur-Mer 77-66 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Provence Basket. Saint Chamond was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Provence Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Nigeria Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) fired 16 points for the winners. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Mamadou Dia (201-78) chipped in 14 points. Provence Basket's coach Remi Giutta used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard B.A. Walker (184-84, college: VCU, agency: Inception Sports) produced 14 points and 7 assists and the other American import center Killian Larson (206-91, college: Grand Canyon, agency: Inception Sports) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Provence Basket will face Nantes (#5) at home in the next round. Saint Chamond will play against Poitiers (#16) and hope to win that game.
