Regular Season Round 3: Kosice - Handlova 93-67

There was no surprise when Handlova (0-3) was crushed on the road by Kosice (2-1) 93-67 on Saturday. Kosice looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Radenko Pilcevic (188-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) who scored 18 points and 9 assists. The former international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Five Kosice players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Peter Sedmak (207-85, agency: 011 Sports) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Cameron Wright (195-92, college: Pittsburgh) added 8 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kosice will face Iskra Svit (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Handlova will play against Karlovka (#7) in Bratislava and hopes to get finally their first victory.
