Regular Season Round 4: Estela - Univ.Burgos 95-59

Not a big story in a game in Santander where bottom-ranked Univ.Burgos (0-2) was rolled over by top-ranked Estela (2-0) 95-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Estela led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Univ.Burgos' 34 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Univ.Burgos 38-23 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds and Pablo Sanchez (198-81) who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Estela players scored in double figures. Estela's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side center Gana Ndiaye (208-88) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Jonathan Vivar (-93) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Estela keeps a position of Group A-A leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Univ.Burgos still closes the standings with two games lost. Estela's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santander to the arena Cantbasket.
