Regular Season Round 3: Moron - Agustinos-Leclerc 75-60

Moron used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Leon 75-60. It looked good early as Agustinos-Leclerc took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Moron had a 21-16 second period charge getting the lead and Agustinos-Leclerc was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-75. It was a great evening for American guard Tyler Gaffaney (193-92, college: Claremont-Mudd) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Gaffaney is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Moron's coach Javier Fijo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Ben Millaud-Meunier (190-91, college: St.Francis, PA) with 13 points and Senegalese forward Lamine Dieng (203-92, college: Pittsburg St.) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Moron will play against Zamorano (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Agustinos-Leclerc will play against Meridiano Alicante (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
