Regular Season Round 4: Cartagena - Myrtia 71-80

Very predictable result when top-ranked Myrtia (2-0) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Cartagena (0-2) 80-71 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Samuel Alcaraz (183-85) who added 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Myrtia's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side American forward Tylor Wimbish (201, college: Mo.-St.Louis) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Jared Grady (190-89, college: Indianapolis) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Myrtia maintains first position in Group E with 2-0 record, which they share with UCAM Murcia II and Sagunto. Loser Cartagena still closes the standings with two games lost. Myrtia will face league's second-placed Sagunto in Gilet in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cartagena will play on the road against Lliria (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
