Regular Season Round 3: Avila - Alcazar 75-64

Fontedoso Carrefour used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Alcazar 75-64. It looked good early as Alcazar took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fontedoso Carrefour had a 24-11 second period charge getting the lead and Alcazar was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-75. They outrebounded Alcazar 35-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for British William Hall (201-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. American forward Connor Beranek (198, college: Nebraska-Kearney, agency: Duran International) helped adding 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Fontedoso Carrefour players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) with 18 points and power forward Jose Santonja (200-92) scored 10 points. Alcazar's coach David Varela rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against Gandia (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alcazar will play against Blancos de Rueda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
