Regular Season Round 3: Rapla - Tarvas 90-67

The game in Rapla supposed to be also worth to mention about. BC Rakvere (1-2) played at the court of Rapla (2-1). Rapla smashed BC Rakvere 90-67. It looked good early as BC Rakvere took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rapla had a 25-13 second period charge getting the lead and BC Rakvere was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-90. Rapla forced 21 BC Rakvere turnovers. The best player for the winners was Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Martin Paasoja (191-93) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four Rapla players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Siim-Markus Post (185-97) who recorded 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Mario Paiste (186-89) added 12 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rapla will have a break next round. BC Rakvere will play on the road against TLU/Kalev (#9) in Tallinn and hope to win that game.
