Regular Season Round 2: PGE Turow - Polpharma 83-57

PGE Turow used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Starogard 83-57 on Sunday night. The game without a history. PGE Turow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Polpharma's 24. PGE Turow forced 21 Polpharma turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) who scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import David Jackson (195-86, college: W.Illinois) chipped in 13 points. Five PGE Turow players scored in double figures. Forward Lukasz Diduszko (196-86) produced 8 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo., agency: Court Side) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PGE Turow will face Wilki Morskie (#12) in Szczecin in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Polpharma will play at home against Stelmet (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
