Regular Season Round 3: Lecco - Vicenza 75-60

There was an upset when Vicenza (2-1) was defeated on the road by Lecco (1-2) 75-60 on Sunday. Lecco forced 24 Vicenza turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (203-93, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Davide Todeschini (190-93) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Lecco players scored in double figures. Lecco's coach Massimo Meneguzzo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Pietro Montanari (195-91) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Daniele Demartini (187-84, agency: Players Group) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Lecco will face Bergamo (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vicenza will play against Reggio Emilia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
