Regular Season Round 6: CDU Concepcion - Osorno 85-91

Date: October 16, 2016
Very expected game when 9th ranked Universidad de Concepcion (1-2) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Osorno Basquetbol (4-3) 91-85. 25 personal fouls committed by Universidad de Concepcion helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import forward Deangelo Kirkland (203, college: Columbus St., agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Jamaica-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) replied with 31 points and 5 assists and American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Universidad de Concepcion. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Osorno Basquetbol moved-up to second place, which they share with CD Castro. Universidad de Concepcion at the other side keeps the ninth position with two games lost. Osorno Basquetbol's next round opponent will be league's second-placed CD Castro on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad de Concepcion will play against Universidad Catolica (#10) in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
