Regular Season Round 3: Lucentum - Cambados 68-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Meridiano Alicante (2-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Cambados (3-0) 82-68. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-68. It was a good game for point guard Erik Quintela (184-91) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Point guard Adrian Chapela (192-94) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Cambados' coach Manuel Santos used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Carles Marzo (190-92, agency: Duran International) answered with 18 points and 6 assists and American forward Dionte Ferguson (198-92, college: S.Alabama) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Meridiano Alicante. Cambados is looking forward to face Zornotza (#7) in Amorebieta-Echano in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Meridiano Alicante will play on the road against Agustinos-Leclerc (#10) in Leon and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
