Regular Season Round 4: Cerdanyola - Sitges 76-69

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Cerdalyola (1-2) defeated at home higher ranked Sitges (2-1) 76-69 on Sunday. Sitges was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 31-21 charge of Cerdalyola, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Genis Tena who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Eric Forne (-88) who added 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Roger Saladie responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and center Eduard Riu (202-82) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cerdalyola left bottom position moving up to eighth place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams. Sitges at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with one game lost. Cerdalyola will face Vive El Masnou (#10) in Barcelona in the next round. Sitges will play at home against Igualada (#8) and hope to win that game.
