Regular Season Round 3: Yalova Bld - Sakarya BSB 73-80

There was no surprise when Yalova Bld (1-2) was defeated at home by Sakarya BSB (3-0) 80-73 on Sunday. It was a great evening for center Hakan Yapar (202-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international guard Fikret Can Akin (190-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was American-Jamaica power forward Kyle Hunt (208-89, college: Oklahoma S&A) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Aubrey Coleman (193-87, college: Houston, agency: HMS) scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakarya BSB will meet at home Pertevniyal (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yalova Bld will play against Akhisar Bld (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
