Regular Season Round 4: Sevilla - Zaragoza 87-84

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Sevilla and 12th ranked CAI Zaragoza had identical 1-2 record. This time Sevilla used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Zaragoza 87-84 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-84. Sevilla dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to CAI Zaragoza's 32. Lithuania guard Martynas Gecevicius (193-88, agency: BeoBasket) produced 31 points and Tongan-New Zealand forward Isaac Fotu (203-93, college: Hawaii) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Sevilla (2-2) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser CAI Zaragoza keeps the twelfth position with three games lost. Sevilla will face higher ranked FC Barcelona (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CAI Zaragoza will play against UCAM Murcia (#9) and hope to win that game.
