Liga Nacional top team - Los Leones (6-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Puente Alto (2-3) 84-78. Los Leones made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game, while Puente Alto only scored eight points from the stripe. Los Leones had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Evandro Arteaga (178-83) who scored 22 points. The former international guard Eduardo Marechal (186-85) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Los Leones players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jovany Austin (201-92, college: W.Georgia) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Marcus Hammonds (196-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively.
