Regular Season Round 4: Karlovka - Handlova 60-83

Date: October 19, 2016
Handlova's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Bratislava, where they outplayed Karlovka (1-2) 83-60. The game without a history. Handlova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of Karlovka shooting 76.3 percent from the field. Handlova shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 70.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Cameron Wright (195-92, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 steals (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83, agency: 011 Sports) who added 18 points during the contest. Four Handlova players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Branislav Brlit (207-85, agency: Promotex) responded with 6 points and 5 rebounds and forward David Abraham (190-96) scored 6 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Handlova maintains ninth position with 1-3 record. Karlovka at the other side dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Handlova will play against higher ranked Iskra Svit (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Karlovka will play against Lucenec (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
