Regular Season Round 3: SISU - Stevnsgade 87-78

The game in Copenhagen was also quite interesting. Stevnsgade (0-3) played at the court of SISU (1-3). SISU managed to secure a 9-point victory 87-78 on Thursday. Stevnsgade trailed by 17 points at halftime and as many as 26 after three quarters before a 29-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 78-87 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Anders Haas (185-92, college: Barry) who scored 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Tanner McGrew (203, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Jesper Sandager (191-96) who recorded 18 points and American power forward Davie Champagnie (205-90, college: Martin Methodist) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. SISU will meet Randers (#5) on the road in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against Naestved and hopes to get finally their first victory.
