Regular Season Round 5: Mugla Orman - Istanbulspor 58-64

TBL top team - Istanbulspor (5-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Muglaorman (0-5) 64-58. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Muglaorman won third quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Istanbulspor won last quarter 18-13. Muglaorman was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and forward Mustafa Bakir Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Istanbulspor's coach Hakan Yavuz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Soykan Yikilmaz (185-92) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Muglaorman in the defeat. Istanbulspor have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Istanbulspor maintains first place with 5-0 record. Muglaorman at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Final Genclik. Istanbulspor will play against Gelisim (#6) in Izmir in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Muglaorman will play on the road against Final Genclik (#17) in Bursa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
