Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (3-1) defeated on the road 12th ranked Gandia (1-3) 86-82. They outrebounded Gandia 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American forward Connor Beranek (198, college: Nebraska-Kearney, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Javier Marin (195-94) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Miguel Martinez (183-95) replied with 17 points and Montenegrin forward Vladimir Tomasevic (201-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gandia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gandia's coach Victor Rubio tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fontedoso Carrefour have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Gandia dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour's next round opponent will be CB Tarragona 2017 (#15) at home which should be an easy win for them. Gandia will play against Alcazar (#8) and hope to win that game.
