Very expected game when ADA Blois (0-2) lost at home to Charleville-Mezieres (2-0) 72-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-65. Charleville-Mezieres outrebounded ADA Blois 44-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. Naturalized Ivorian center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Charleville-Mezieres' coach Cedric Heitz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Florian Thibedore (195-90) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for ADA Blois. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. Charleville-Mezieres will face Provence Basket (#4) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round. ADA Blois will play on the road against STB Le Havre (#6) and hope to win that game.
