Regular Season Round 7: CFBB - Angers BC 50-98

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 98-50 loss to eleventh ranked Angers BC (4-3) in Paris. The game without a history. Angers BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CFBB to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Angers BC dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 32. They outrebounded CFBB 39-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Angers BC players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by CFBB's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Lithuania forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Center Thimotee Bazille (201-99) answered with 10 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Yanik Blanc (184-99) added 8 points in the effort for CFBB. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Angers BC. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. CFBB lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Angers BC will play against Gries/Oberhoffen (#15) in Bischwiller in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play on the road against ALS Basket in Andrezieux and hopes to get finally their first victory.
