Regular Season Round 4: Correcaminos - Fuerza Regia 74-85

LNBP top team - Fuerza Regia (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Correcaminos (1-3) in Ciudad Victoria 85-74. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Correcaminos' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. American Theron Laudermill (202-89, college: CS San Bernar.) replied with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Giovanni Silva added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fuerza Regia have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Correcaminos at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Garzas. Fuerza Regia are looking forward to face Soles (#3) in Mexicali in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Correcaminos will play on the road against Abejas (#5) in Guanajuato and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
